At some point in my childhood, this became a favorite phrase of my father’s to indicate something was about to overflow, to explode, to pop. “Thar she blows!”
I can’t help but think of that today as I write about what happens when a writer doesn’t take the necessary time to empty in order to fill.
It’s about survival, I’m telling you.
