This week has been full of typing up loose ends.
As I shared in my Friday post, I’m in transition again, trying to put a bow on the job I’ve been blessed to have these last five months while preparing for the one I’ll be equally blessed to assume starting next week.
There will be no stopping point, really. I’ll leave one job Monday, start the next full force Tuesday.
I’m getting ready to jump in again.
This weekend, our family enjoyed the beautiful weather in my husband’s lake hometown. There were other places we could have been, but something about hanging out at Lake Minnewaksa at this point in time felt very right.
Personally, I needed the breath of fresh air. I welcomed the traveling time, and the time at the lake with the kids. I welcomed the walk with my friend through the woods, and the toad we found along the way, and the grape slush she bought me at the end of it.
I have no reason to complain. My life feels very rich, very full. There are some incredibly exciting things coming around the bend. I’m open and ready for what God is calling me to next.
Today, I received an email alerting me that my email at my new job was just set up. The tech guy wrote to ask about equipment needs; he’ll need to order them soon. They’re getting ready for me.
I’ve received the kind of words one always hopes for but can’t expect when leaving one space for another. I’ve been welcomed with open arms into my new work space. I feel gratitude for what has been and what will be.
But pauses are nice, and I needed this one. There’s a lot to take in right now. I’m thrilled, and with that, I need to stay grounded so things happen at the right pace in the right order.
I’m about ready to jump into a new adventure once again, but it’s been nice, this bit of time I’ve had…to love, to laugh, to watch my daughter doodle in the sand.
Q4U: Do you hold your breath before you jump in?
Good luck in your new job, Roxane! Your weekend getaway looks wonderful. There is nothing like a nice Minnesota lake.
Karin
Karin, so fun to see you, and thanks for the nice thoughts. I hope your summer goes well too. You’re right about those nice Minnesota lakes. They are something else! 🙂
Beautiful pics! Good luck with your transitions! I am so excited for you!
Without realizing I am – I do hold my breath. Thank goodness for lakes, and walks, and toads and friends- and faith in taking the plunge!
Your question at the end brought me goosebumps. Take a deep breath to appreciate everything leading up to this point, hold it for a moment, then let it out…and jump into something new, deep and refreshing. Thanks for the good reminder, and best wishes for your new job ahead!
Thanks for blessing me with your comments, all. Each one I read enriches me more. Thanks for visiting!
Aways. Then, I remember to breath.
