The “Take a Kid Fishing Day” is an annual event at Lake Minnewaska. Here, the kids are learning the ropes. Later, they received free fishing gear — including rods/reels, some lures and a bait tub. Grandpa’s at the helm, once again! (Wish Blogger could expand to accommodate these larger files!)
A few days earlier, Beth got to go by herself, following the little boys’ turn before that:
There’s lots of fishing to be had when you live near a lake!
Q4U: Do you have a favorite fishing memory?
Shannon O'Donnell says
I haven’t had the opportunity to do much fishing in my life – not sure why. My favorite grandmother, though is an avid fisherman. I remember her winning all kinds of fishing contests when I was little, bringing home beautiful new rods and poles. I was always so proud of her. She’s in her upper 80’s now and can barely walk anymore, but my uncle still takes her fishing. Fishing and watching baseball and her church shows on television are her favorite things in the world!
