It looks like you had a great day! Beautiful images; you certainly have a talent for photography too! I would love to visit Camp Wilderness, but I haven’t heard of it. I hope you have a great week! Marie
Marie, it’s a Boy Scout camp near Park Rapids. Our friends rent a cabin in the off-season. It’s two story and three bathrooms but when I say two-level cabin, remember, Boy Scout camp. ๐ It’s pretty basic but perfectly suited to our purposes of hanging out together, enjoying nature and playing lots of games and cards. Oh, yes, and eating too. Four adults, nine kids, lots of fun and relaxation. Maybe Murray will be a Boy Scout and you’ll have a chance to hang out there too someday.
Billy, how wonderful of you to stop by. I am really enjoying your blog — keep up the great work. Can’t wait to read your book!
Roxane, The photos are absolutely beautiful. Can I ask what kind of camera you’re using? I would love to get a “real” camera. I had planned on the Nikon D-40, but I hear it’s been discontinued. Any suggestions? I can’t go high-end. Something reasonable and fairly easy for a non-photographer type. Thanks for sharing your pics. Looks like a great place. Mary
Wow!!! I’m surprised to see pictures without rain! It’s been so rainy here in Michigan for the past week, I guess I just expect it everywhere! The pictures are gorgeous, Roxane! If I had time for a hobby, I’d love to learn more about photography! Maybe someday!
I can’t wait to hear more about your weekend camping! Was this in cabins? Oh, you are so brave to take everyone this time of the year! But glad to hear (via twitter) that you had a wonderful time together as family! And that the unplugged time was good too!
I am so glad you all enjoyed my virtual tour-hike. If nature is God’s gift to us, then photography, it seems to me, is our way of wrapping that gift to present it to others. It’s really fun to “watch” others opening that gift (your nice comments). It does feel good to know the gift was well-received.
It all looks so lovely and I love your photos too, Roxane. You are quite gifted with photography. I too love to capture God’s gift of nature. God bless!
