Friday Fun
Didn’t have it in me for “quick takes” this week. I typically write those Thursday night. Instead, last night I was enjoying a beautiful evening with a lovely friend out on the back patio at Monte’s Downtown Fargo. It was a supremely gorgeous night, not a mosquito in sight (they’re sparse this year, which I have loved!) and I enjoyed my blogging break. This morning, up with the girls to head out on our Friday Fun adventure at the hair salon. Yes, this is a variation of my promised “Faith Fridays.” I hope to be back tomorrow with a Soulful Saturdays post instead.
Can you tell we had a truly fun-filled morning? Times like this, I really, really feel blessed to have daughters. Thanks, Lynn, for the awesome “do’s!”
Oh my goodness! I feel like you gals jsut traded in their long, little girl hair for young lady dos! Wow! It almost brought a tear to my eye, maybe because I have 2 little ladies myself.
What a great mama you are. It is so important to affirm womenhood is a good way with our daughters. God bless you all!
Holly,
That’s what it felt like to me, too. One is going into middle school, so it seemed like the right time to do this. The other will be a big 4th-grader, and went in looking for a trim then decided to be brave. We decided it could be grown out again later. ๐ It was a fun day. You have much to look forward to!
Oh, Roxane! How fun! My two oldest DD’s (9)got “styles” this past year, but I quickly realized that they could not keep up with the daily maintenance. So I decided they have to be a little older next time, old enough to be able to style it for themselves every day! But nevertheless, I love having girls! There are so many fun things we do together!
Jody,
So true. I made sure to let them know we wouldn’t be styling their hair like that every day; perhaps on special occasions. They are cuts that can be unstyled too, so, I hear you for sure. I think mostly, they just enjoyed taking a look at their “someday selves.” ๐
Oh Roxane….I just love checkin’ in on this blog. Wonderful picture of you and your girls sharin’ some girly time! Priceless!
Such a great daughter bonding time. I have two grown daughters now…you brought back happy memories!
