I’m not a professional, nor do I have a professional setup, but here are a few of my favs from tonight. (Consider that I typically had a wiggly child in my lap while snapping away.) I think I like the smoke left in the wake of the burst as much as the burst itself:

Why aren’t you a photog AND writer?
I did take some photojournalism classes in college and have always been interested in it since a wee age. I just can’t quite call myself a professional. I’d want a little more training and a lot better equipment. But I do have fun playing around with it. Thanks for the compliment! I’ll take it, because it’s something I truly do enjoy.
