I never met Emilie in person; only through the world of online blogging, email and a writers’ list serve, where she first was introduced to me. But I felt I knew her through her writing and the spirit she revealed through it. She was a fellow mother and writer and her words and heart enriched my life very much in the short time in which I had the privilege to know her. It was only a few days ago that she announced she was in hospice care, and just a little bit ago, when I checked her blog before our departure, I read the sad post her husband left that she had passed last night as he held her hand. If you haven’t yet, please take a moment to read some of her writings. In her dying, she taught us all a lot about how to live.
Christmas blessings to you and yours…
