I’ve always loved fall, but this one has been particularly spectacular. I’ve admired some of the photos posted recently by other bloggers, but today, I was inspired to take a few myself. The tree that captured my attention is one I’d noticed while out doing errands and, after spotting it, I had to do a U-turn. I’m fairly certain the owner of the yard on which it stood thought me nuts when I parked my van near it and began walking toward him with my camera. He turned off his mower to find out what was up, and I asked if I could photograph his tree. I’m glad I did. If I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have these beautiful images to share with you. Though I’m not an expert in weather patterns, what I’ve noticed this year is that leaves are hanging on a little longer than usual, and because of that, we spectators have been witnesses to an amazing array of leaf color variations. Never before have I seen so many different hues on a single tree as this year. It’s truly nature’s gift of splendor.
See what I mean about the glass half-full? I’m breathing in this lingering fall and loving it. I hope you are, too.
Those who haven’t yet, I hope you take time to read my earlier post (below). In it, I really zeroed in on some of my main purposes in keeping this blog. Hopefully it will give you a better idea of whether you want to keep coming back or not. But naturally, I hope you will.
May the fall leaves catch you offguard today, too, and make you smile.
Off to pick up the kids from school!
